George Alan Rekers, Baptist Minister and prominent anti-LGBT activist, in an email to the young man he came across on rentboy.com and traveled with through Europe. According to the Miami New Times, Rekers claimed he hired his, err, companion because he needed help lifting luggage because after surgery and had no idea that the “sensual,” “wild,” and “up for anything” boy he had hired was a sex worker.
Reckers writes books like Growing Up Straight: What Families Should Know About Homosexuality. It looks like he has been smitten (or become smitten) with a plague of of irony.

I find their excuses when they get caught SO much fun. I don’t know why they don’t just stick to a standard “I was trying to help them!” line. Help you with your luggage?!
